An Autowallah with a Difference

Vidya pens an obituary to an auto driver, Venkatacalam, who died recently. She remembers a movie that he saw with her family.
Appreciation of art is fine as long as you have the resources to take care of your daily bread! And in the final scene just before Serugalattur Sama falls at the feet of the untouchable Nandan and asks him to inititate him, he announced to all of us as to what the next scene would be. A small moment of joy when the caste equation was reversed for a special person. It seemed to give him immense hope and joy of some kind. It was a revealing moment for me where the harsh reality of caste hits you.
