And yes, Bangladeshis fought for their language !In 1952, in Bangladesh, when many bangla-speaking people were massacred by the Pakistani police and Army, a number of young students died !! The first ever sacrifice of life for the sake of language.
It all started when Pakistan (when we were part of it) were trying to force : “Urdu and Urdu will be the ONLY state language”.
