Altering the anthem

At Chennaist, Jai Shankar is upset over the apparent omission of the word “Dravida” in the rendition of the national anthem in an Airtel Ad.

When it is The National Anthem you are composing to the modern tunes why the word “Dravida” left out of proper pronounciation. Where from the constitution one had the rights to alter and suit the Anthem to their whims and fancies. Leave alone the politics, the word “Dravida” is the contribution to the sovereign India by our fathers and fore-fathers and all my brethren. One really should be ashamed and angered of this negligence, deliberate or ignorance in what ever form.

Using the national anthem to peddle a mobile service brand? Interesting.
