Kismat Konnection review

Meetu writes off Kismat Konnection. Her “quick review” says:

Lage Raho Munnabhai (LRM) meets Jab We Met but without the charm or humor of either. Vidya Balan blends Janvi of LRM with Suman of Munnabhai MBBS. Shahid Kapoor plays chocolate hero, again! Aziz Mirza is still in I’m directing Shah Rukh Khan mode.

Kismat Konnection is an AWESOME MOVIE!! PEOPLE need to get over Aziz Mirza and the whole SRK thing.. Shahid does deserve credit for his finest performace. Vidya on the other hand delivers a great performance due to her simplicity and Vishal Malhotra (Shahids best friend ) reminds you off the Ishq Vishk chemistry that allowed the audiences to role with laughter. His spontaneity especially in the Batra and Gills protest scene is SUPERB! ..Hemani Shivpuri who comes in very few scenes of the movie makes her presence felt with the remarkable performance she has given. Juhi Chawla is a must watch and reminds you of how much we do miss seeing her on screen with her charming smile and commendable acting ability. ON THE whole Kismat Konnection does CONNECT with the audience even if thick headed critics like Rajeev Masand and Mayank Shekhar don’t think so. This is one movie you should go with your family or loved one for it’s simplicity cause that is the USP of this movie.

    A Good movie….
The movie has been moulded well enough to keep our minds relaxed…
Gud work aziz mirza.Shahid and Vidya have produced some charm and both are cute in the film. Vishal’s role is also noteworthy, especially his comic scenes. He has the capability to make it big in bollywood……!!!

Afterall its a charming kinda movie which we’d luv to go n watch…

    I go for 3 dimples…

If something that noteworthy in the movie its Vidya and her fiance Amit Varma. Both the actors gives a brilliant performance and gives you a little break from Shahid’s monotonus copying of SRK. Inspite of his negative character one may feel sympathetic to Karan Malhotra (Amit Varma) because of the excellent execution. Juhi does her job well and Vishal, insprite of such a long screen pressence could not draw ones attention.

Because people continuously keep compairing Shahid to Shahrukh sub-conciously they go into the theatre looking for Shahrukh in Shahid which is TOTALLY unfair. If you remember Ishq-Vishk and Vivah, Shahid has always been an identity apart and his distinct acting ability is what sets him a class apart even in Kismat Konnection, especially in the last scene where he justifies the building of the community centre. Moreover, Vishal Malhotra has a FABULOUS SCREEN PRESENCE,…you cannot help taking your eyes off him in the protest scene, this is one of his finest performances because he makes you role with laughter and contributes to the ENTERTAINMENT SEGMENT of this movie. And not only does he draw attention with his performance, he makes you realize that the money you paid for the ticket is of great value and has not gone to waste!

Well Vivah and JMW Shahid really didnt copy SRK and thats why he rocked. But here again he is dissapointing as he returned to his old love of copying and that makes kismat Konnection boring. Vishal looked far and much above the age of his character.

Shahid kapoor is very charming and handsome. He is young and his performance is up to par. Because of his age, he is naturally enthusiastic and great to watch on screen because of his fresh look!
