Sivaji reviews

First reviews coming in of the much-awaited Rajnikant starrer “Sivaji, the Boss”. Who cares about the story (stretches your imagination), music (excellent), technical aspects (top of line), Shreya (hot), etc. etc. because Rajni rules and how…

Hawkeye gushes

The stylized way in which Rajini pops in a bubble gum, the way he moves the 1 Rupee coin is all pure class. Only Rajini can do this. It’s fun to watch also. Somehow the heart warms up to Rajini. You feel for him, when shreya spurns him. ‘Charm’ is an underrated word. Especially when the Rajini charm works on you like magic.

Anoop is floored

Awesome performance by Rajini. Looking younger by decades as though travelled by a time machine, Superstar looks ravishing and has given out a spell binding performance. In his Motta role, he even makes us forget the La ka la ka la ka…… He is an epitome of style and his walks and his mannerisms have been captured in a fan like style by Shankar.

Chakra thinks

The main strength of this film is Superstar’s presence in every frame. [...]In most of the scenes, he appears at least 15 years young. Not many punch dialogues, but lot of stylish mannerisms – especially the way he flips the 1 rupee coin, the way he gets the bubblegum into his mouth, the way he taps his ‘mottai mandai’ would be fun to watch. I wouldn’t be surprised if our crazy fans back in TN start biting chillies after watching ‘Sivaji’.

And the blond wig? It delivers, or so says Anantha at PFC.

The make up leads one to think that Shankar has perhaps actually managed to reverse Rajini’s ageing process. If I had one misgiving about the movie after seeing the promos, it was about the hairdos. But after watching the movie itself, I think that my misgivings were unfounded. The blond wig still put me off, but the situation demanded it and is amply backed up by the lyrics.

HI,SIVAJI IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF RUBBISH EVER PRODUCED IN TAMIL CINEMA.READING REVIEWS SAYING THE MOVIE AS GREAT SIMPLY SHOWS THE SHALLOWNESS OF TAMIL MOVIE AUDIANCE.THIS IS WHY TAMIL MOVIES CAN NEVER MAKE IT BIG IN INTERNATIONAL ARENA.INTERNATIONALLY TAMIL MOVIES ARE LIKE CARTOONS WHEN IT COMES TO SCRIPT AND DIRECTION. SIVAJI IS ONE OF THE BEST EXAMPLE! RAJNI DIES AND LIVES AGAIN(LOONEY TUNES)!SHANKER, YOU DON’T NEED 60 CRORES AND 2 YEARS TO CREATE THIS CRAP!

  2. 2 Arun Jun 16th, 2007 at 2:01 am

    Siva,

You are not even a good critic. A critic puts himself in the audience shoes and figures out if the movie has all the elements to be a good entertainer. But you here on criticizing the audience itself. Such a pity.

Even economics and businesses are run for the masses. So Sivaji definitely delivers. No hollywood movie can churn and turn wild Indian audiences like Rajini, Kamal, Shah Rukh Khan and other Indian actors. While Hollywood movies are realeased all over the world for an international audience Indian movies achieve the same for a smaller audience.

If you prefer Hollywood movies i guess you should stick with that as you are not refined enough to be a ‘Tamil’ or ‘Indian’ audience. While the west is moving towards us, trying to woo our audience by investing in our movies, people like you (follow the crowd) are just donkeys led by carrots.

    Sivaji Rules!

    Siva,
I hope you have not seen enough tamil movies of high quality(Example Mozhi, Chithiram Pesudhadi, etc)…..Rajini film needs to be looked from mass angle….The commonman craves to see entertainment on screen and there;s no one other than Rajini who can give entertainment…No Hollywood Hero can match Rajini in terms of box office…As AAK says, if you prefer Hollywood movies, you should never see an Indian or Tamil or Rajini movies as you can’t understand or like it….So, peek ruoy htuom tush(Read backwards)…

    siva,

its better you change your name and book yourself an appointment with your plastic surgeon. (hope you get the drift….) if not better get it straight now…. thalaivar’s movies are to be enjoyed without any bias. i think you feel happy those stupid satyajit ray type movies and dream about when we can get one of those crappy oscars. thalaivar’s movies are above all these.

  5. 5 Karthi Jun 16th, 2007 at 10:35 am

    mr.shakez..

i watch all kind of films..serious cinema to pot boilers..each has its own level of beauty..but the serious cinema are the ones that create awareness about life, unveiling the illusion you are surrounded by. the other films are escapists, people need them..to get rid of their worries,to get into some imaginative, unbeleivable, larger than life world!!..nothing wrong. what goes really wrong is when people like you mindlessly blame the sensitive side of cinema without even trying to understand what it is all about..actually you are becoming a stupid by doing it. i have seen most of satyajit ray’s and i should say he’z undoubtedly the greatest filmmaker of india..who showed me how wonderfully life could be captured..his films will live even after we have all died..some of his works are timeless..do you know what that means???
on the other hand i have seen all of rajini’s..he is unique and a natural actor..in sivaji he’z rocking but dont you people see how weak is the script..even if he’z a superstar, he needs solid script..ther’z no solid conflict and strong content..the refreshing stylistics used in the film becomes exhaustive after sometime..spending some 60 crores for a film which has such flimsy content,is waste..shankar simply fills his frames with every rich thing and leaves us with no meaning. think!!!

    SIVA..

IF U ASK ME U WRITE SOME STUPIDEST CRAP I EVER READ AND ABOUT UR COMMENTS ON OUR SUPERSTAR’S FILM BUDDY U NEED TO SEE SOME GOOD PSHYCOLOGIST. AND NEVER TALK LOW ABOUT TAMIL AUDIENCE BECAUSE WE HAVE OUR OWN CULTURE AND WAY OF SEEING THINGS THAT U WESTERN FOLLOWERS OR MAYBE SCAVENGERS SHOULD NEVER MOUTH ABOUT…..

    KARTHI..

A SMALL PIECE OF ADVICE ‘GET SOME GRIP’…..

  7. 7 Karthi Jun 16th, 2007 at 11:55 pm

    sadagopan..

Thank you for that advice, though i dont see anything wrong in what i said….i would like to say that tamil appreciation of art and entertainment is pathetic.. they cant take criticism..they dont have film awareness..they dont want to grow, they jus say ‘dont talk about us, we have culture etc.,’ and close the windows..does shivaji reflect the culture of the tamil audience?..instead it only tries to feed exhaustively the tamil consumerist mind!!..iam not against consumerism but iam fed up with people who want to close everything on criticism and put it on culture..the other worst thing is the glorification of some ‘mediocre’ movie that pretends to be serious in tamil scenario..for.eg., ‘veyil’ is the worst film in recent times that dint desrve an inch of this glorification.
so…in a scenario like this people like sadagopan can raise their voices as they will get lot of support by the film stupid people.

    hi all,

i m one of the greatest fan of rajini and have been watching his movies right on the first day and first show of release.

i like rajini in the movie but not the screeplay or story. it is just next step to Baba and not even comparable with characterisation of rajini in Chandramuki.

siva may be harsh in his words about sivaji, but he is right. a director like shankar doesnt need 60 crore(80c as per some other source) and this much span of time to produce yet another centimental tamil cinema.

hei, he is directing a rajini film. that was not in his mind. and the hype given was too worse to expect such a film

  9. 9 Surabhi Jun 17th, 2007 at 10:13 pm

    It’s a good movie….

Climax scene is excellent..!!!! worth watching…

    Hello Guys,

Well I could call myself a movie buff. Can understand Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, English and to a certain extent Telugu.

So coming to the point, I do watch movies in the above mentioned languages and heaps of foreign language movies that is aired on SBS channel.

I had a lot of expectation from Sivaji. From my perspective, the storyline was so predictable and boring, I am astonished by the fact that it was given so much hype.

Shankar’s movies like Indian, Kaadhalan etc were of such high calibre and even I liked the movie Boys. Rajni’s movies like Annamalai, Baasha, Uzhaippali etc are unforgettable.

It is a pity that a class actor like Raghuvaran has such a small and forgettable role in the movie.

I wish that Rajni’s next movie “SULTAN” will be more memorable.

    Cheers

I seriously wonder how people can watch Rajinikanth. All his movies lack any sense or logic and are quite shallow.

  12. 12 mams Jun 20th, 2007 at 10:23 am

    krish..

    thats the most shallow comment..!

  13. 13 manidhan Jun 21st, 2007 at 4:05 pm

To Shiva & all you Rajini critics… Up yours.. whatever you guys say.. Thalaivar still rocks.. That is our culture… Think of it, when you come to a Rajini movie dont expect any strong storyline, I agree the screenplay was not as good as Annamalai or Basha.. but WTF.. honestly in the bottom of your hearts im sure you guys would have enjoyed the excitement at the theatre…Its Thalaivar guys.. come one.. this is what we grew up watching.. what else can come close to this…

  14. 14 Roshan Jun 21st, 2007 at 10:39 pm

do not miss this movie in theatres????? y dude?? ppl are already crying over their precious money wasted on this non-sense. no body would further dare to buy a DVD.
this is seriously not worth a watch.
shankar’s worst movie ever. hope he never disappoints us with such kinda big budget-big hero kinda movie in the future.

    Hey ppl,

I haven’t seen the movie but I decided not to when I saw the trailer. I haven’t found much in Rajni’s action movies. IMO if Rajni is given a role where he can perform by dialogue delivery or as a comedian he rocks, can be genuinely funny. Case in point – Dalapathi, Yejaman, Thillu Mullu. Rajni movies should carry messages for the masses and not mindless consumerism. From that context, Baba was a good attempt, although underdeveloped. IMO Sivaji is very much one of the Rajni movies which probably make money cos young folk watch it, and thats probably because more people have enough money to spend on it these days. So this movie is a product of a film industry perhaps, but doesn’t carry a message. Just extracts tons of money from the public for an overpaid actor.

  17. 17 Vishnu Jun 24th, 2007 at 8:17 pm

I don’t know how people are enjoying films in which the hero even does not have a screen presence. One gets ashamed by the kind of histrionics and stupid non-verbal gestures displayed by the heroes in the film. Stories do not have any logic, nothing new, fight scenes are downright ridiculous and actresses have nothing to do except dance in coitus-resembling steps with very little clothes. When can Indian cinema stop such utter rubbish in the name of creativity?

  18. 18 mams Jun 25th, 2007 at 11:12 am

    vishnu…

What do u mean by screen presence???
if you cant appreciate rajini’s style, his skill..dont understand the progress of his career… why the hell do you get into the theatre in the first place??
ask every goddamn good actor to come into a single frame of cinema and see for yourself..who got the magnetic presence???

please understand what *** you are gonna see before you enter the theatre!!!!

the fans of narcissistic actors cant understand this!!

  19. 19 bharani Jun 26th, 2007 at 3:40 am

    hi all,
There is a way to watch all the films.. Rajini films are a pure entertainer.Entertainer wont have a clear logic. If u r watching movies to find out a fault everything u see will be a fault.Even Casino Royale had some defects. It was taken for the Tamil audience. Shivaji is rated NO:9 in Uk,The only Tamil movie ever. If, u speak of the logic y the english rated that.Watch the Style song, see the technique used. The only indian film to use 4K DI technology!.. The Great Ar rehman music rocks!!.The film from tamil releasing in maximum no of theatres next only to casino royale world wide and giving a huge return to the distributors. What else u need! The greatest brainies in the world japan appreaciate our films.WE feel proud! Shivaji surely RoCkS!!!!

  20. 20 Krish Jun 26th, 2007 at 10:04 am

    Bharani,

Not having logic is ok. Talking crap is not ok. Have you watched padayappa where he made statements saying a woman should shut everything up and sit, blah, blah, blah. If he had problems with Jayalalitha, he should have criticized her directly. He shouldn’t talk crap about women.

  21. 21 bharani Jun 27th, 2007 at 4:49 am

    krish,
See film projects what is happening in the society. There are women’s like that… itz not to critizise them. Our indian film industry havent grown like hollywood.

  22. 22 Anitha Jun 27th, 2007 at 5:40 am

Total waste of time and money.

  23. 23 mams Jun 27th, 2007 at 10:19 am

bharani and to all hollywood crazy ppl..

i have seen the best of hollywood of the 40’s to 70’s…i should say they are producing 90% trash these days..imbibing the hollywood today is equal to going straight to the shit hole!!..and if you know cinema..you will know that technology is secondary..its not important what camera you use or what shit lens you use..its all about how you use and why you use..once hollywood started to churn out films like industrial goods..it became powerful but completely worthless…watch korean cinema!…watch iranian cinema..watch some of the european cinema..you will know what cinema is all about!!..if you still look out for hollywood..then remain as the frog in the well!!
    OPEN UP YOUR EYES!!!

  24. 24 Krish Jun 27th, 2007 at 12:52 pm

    bharani,

I think you missed my point. I said if he criticizes Jayalalitha directly, it is ok. But Rajini making a definition about what makes a woman a good one, is pure crap. He should be put inside the jail for it.

  25. 25 cineman Jun 27th, 2007 at 1:50 pm

liking a film and being a rajni fan are two different things. 60 crores and two years for this crap is ridiculous.

  26. 26 Karthi Jun 28th, 2007 at 3:05 am

    Krish..

I couldn’t stop laughing at your comments..dont you see that almost whole tamil scenario is emulating male centric attitude all these years…pointing out rajini out of this shows only the ignorance or your dislike for him..to me, rajini’s dialogues on women have been clear in postioning- the position is male centric..its transperant..and hence I don’t see a danger..and moreover he speaks with a political undertone..its fun watching him talk like this..it is cinema were he stands…its just a cinematic stand…taking this seriously shows that you got to be sent to some school to pull out all that you have cultivated..
Please help the police to put the real worthless pseudo’s who talk every shit about goodness and liberation of women, into jail…identify the real people.. not a superstar who tries to entertain his fans very clearly on screen..

    :. S.H.V.A.J.I .:

    Hi all,

Please do not generalise or take it personal, this is purely my opinion. I understand how much we love Mr. Rajinikanth. I like him too and he has is charismatic characteristic which no one has in the industry.

I do agree with Siva’s comment. Honestly, how many of you would like to choose Shivaji as the first preference when compared to Badsha, Chandramukhi and Sivaji or Gentleman, Indian, Sivaji.

I would surely put Sivaji in the 3rd spot. I know Mr. Rajani has a trend, but we have to admit that he has been breaking his trend and been giving very good performance movies. It is of no doubt that these different roles are well taken by audience.

After growing to a new level of achievement, I feel that Shivaji does not add any value to AVM, Mr.Shankar and Mr. Rajinikanth.

There is nothing in the screenplay or story which makes to you to sit in the chair for the whole movie except for Mr. Rajinikanth. The same issues like Astrology, Mr. Rajinikanth is being dark, Mr. Rajinikanth is being cheated and take revenge (do not you agree we have seen this before many times before in his movies).

Just to point out few weak storyline…I am confused now whether to believe in Astrology or not because the story says “do not believe in Astrology” but as the astrologer predicted, Shivaji indeed dies (ofcourse he wakes up later) then officially a dead person. In the climax, when Suman dies, I wonder why students are still paying so much money and studying in the college instead of Shivaji free colleges?

IMHO, I would rate 2 out of 5 (5 being the best) for this movie.

    Thanks for reading!

    Nanban

working every damn day, family problems etc. why every body
watch movies? entertainment. All the rajni movies have
entertainment and fun.Rajni “BASHA” and now the “BOSS”.
    TALAIVA SUPER TALAIVA.

  29. 29 Boddhisatva Jul 1st, 2007 at 8:05 am

    Hi all,
This was a disgusting film. This film potrays tamil women in a very poor light. When Rajni returns from USA, there is a catwalk arranged for him to pick up some girl whom he can marry. Girls go around in very scantily clad dresses trying to please Rajni. What kind of a message is Rajni sending to the rest of the world? That Tamil women can be easily brought by just throwing money at them? What rubbish! Again Rajni spots Shreya in a Temple and harrases and eve teases her no end. Some guy ib the film asks Rajni to try his daughters instead! How shocking! Why do people potray Tamil women in such a degraded manner? And somehow the heroine falls in love with Rajni, despite him harrasing them so much.

As for the fights it was laughable. Rajni is so thin and puny and yet he is able to bash up some 20 well built thugs! All in all the film was utterly ridiculous and downright preposterous.

  30. 30 Navin Jul 1st, 2007 at 9:23 am

I fully agree with you BODHISATVA. I was terribly excited for Rajni and not only was the Film sooooo boringgggg…..It was rubbish. BUT I blame that great Rubbish director Shankar for that. Not Superstar. Shankar is a rubbish director whose rubbish films run because of the money poured into it. What a waste of time and money

  31. 31 Navin Jul 1st, 2007 at 9:26 am

And to add to my Comments above I am wondering any of the other people who say that people should not expect logic in rajni movies and they go to his movies for pure fun and all that stuff, whether these people will extend the same courtesy to say a dhanush movie or a simbu movie..

  32. 32 Vasanth Jul 1st, 2007 at 11:42 am

After all the expectation and hype created in media, i think the movie is much below expectation. For all non-rajini fans its a one time watchable one. And for rajini fans it is a dream come true to see his star dazzling. But i dont see shankar in any department of the movie except in one song where he shows up himself to establish that it is a shankar movie too.

    Plus
    -Rajini.
-KV Anand camera all throughout the movie, especially in making rajini dazzling and the songs & fight sequence were well picturized.
-Music & picturization for 3 songs were really awesome.
-One more credit to Rajini for his bald look.

    Minus
-Screenplay is below standard. To be specific, the screenplay for the first half of the movie was totally a crap mixing serious subject, love & comedy unproportionately. Im quite surprised shankar has done this.
-It doesnt look like a shankar movie except the richness in almost all songs. So average credit to direction part.
-Name any Vivek movie, i will assure u that it has far better jokes than this. Vivek has performed much as a second fiddle to Rajini than a comedian in this movie.
-Background score other than the music for song & fight sequence were well below standard. I think Deva will suit Rajini far better than ARR in providing background score to his movie (Courtesy: Baasha & Anna malai).

Am I exaggerating… but this is what i serious feel abt this movie.

Overall : Below expectation that the media created, but a decent movie to time pass: watchable once, movie for die hard rajini fan. I see a lot of blogs comparing it wit h Baasha & Anna malai. Please dont do that.

  33. 33 Krish Jul 2nd, 2007 at 9:28 am

    Karthi,

You can laugh at me but you are being stupid. If anyone says Rajni can go on with his male chauvinistic because the society is male chauvinistic has to be blatantly dumb or blindly faithful to Rajni. Unfortunately, our society is not only male centric but also shallow. Thatz why we have so many Rajni fans.

  34. 34 Karthi Jul 2nd, 2007 at 9:32 am

    krish..
all i can say is..you did not understand what i say..
    GROW UP.

  35. 35 Shwetha Jul 2nd, 2007 at 4:37 pm

karthi, i think it is you who should grow up. krish makes a valid point here. probably you couldn’t even realize it because of your own chauvinism.

  36. 36 Karthi Jul 3rd, 2007 at 2:26 am

    shwetha,
i wanted krish to know that this chauvanistic attitude is there all along the years..it is in the society..dont you see it yourself?..i only said in the context of rajini it is not to be taken seriously, atleast i dont, i think he’z there to entertain..if you dont agree with something you got to ignore him or the whole movie..but taking into criticism is not worth it. to me, rajini is far better, atleast ther’z lot of transparency in what he says..its clear..in the case of kamalhaasan’s films,i have observed keenly how he uses his women..its pure chauvanism said in the most subversive way..as if being liberal..this pretension is to me critical-i cant stand that.
please understand the context of what we talk about, and dont just write some two liners without any strong substantiation..even if a women like you cant understand what iam talking about!! i dont have anything more to say!!..thank you.

  37. 37 S M Jul 5th, 2007 at 7:35 am

Wow! 36 comments. I havent read all of them. IMHO this movie serves as the epitome of hypocrisy. Rajani is no different than any other actor. The entire movie is about balck money and the tickets are sold at 8-10 times the original price in the first week. Shankar and Rajini could not control black marketing of movie tickets, but would like to give a message to the whole country. Beautifcukingful!

  38. 38 Ganen Jul 7th, 2007 at 10:48 am

HMM, lets c, If I worked 12 hours a day, about 52 hours a week, for minimum wage, do I really want to go to a Rajni movie and c “misery”?
Its called an entertaintment business, and the fact of the matter is it entertained the masses well. As for criticising the audience for lack of “taste”, DO GROW UP. There are people who like science fiction, there are over a billion people (chinese) who like to c their heroes stand at the end of a tree branch and do sword fights, there are those that like XXX etc..etc…
If the Tamil mass feel this is the taste that satisfy them, Who are u to ciritcise them. There are very Story oriented movies too, u go and watch them and quench your thirst. Let the rest of the mass do as they please. Don’t think that all movies should fit your taste.
As for the girls falling all over the hero, “PUT YOUR HANDS ON YOUR HEARTS AND ASK, WHICH MAN DOESN’T DREAM IT. :p ” Its not being anti feminist, its just “glamour”, lol.

    Sivaji – Rajini Critics

However you guys criticize Rajini… Shankar or the Movie … the truth and the fact is SIVAJI rules.

Who cares about your criticism. Be a roman while you are in Roman. Go and speak about your critic in the hall if you dare too. You will be killed to death.

SIVAJI STARS… RAJINI TRUIMPHS… SHANKAR SHINES… FANS ARE DELIGHTED

People who criticize are only FOOLS

Ganen and Dinesh, you are personally attacking people and their opinion. You are advising others not to criticize but you guys ending up doing the same on others opinion & feelings. No wonder you guys write so unprofessionally because you cannot respect others opinion & feelings.

    Shame on you guys

  43. 43 Ganen Jul 13th, 2007 at 2:11 pm

    What a bunch of bull;
There is a fine difference between criticism and verbal battery. “SAYING THE MOVIE AS GREAT SIMPLY SHOWS THE SHALLOWNESS OF TAMIL MOVIE AUDIANCE.” Sentences like these don’t project “professionalism or intellectualism”. My post had one underlying concept, there are many types of movies made to fit the taste of different group of people. Just because a very very popular movie doesn’t fit your taste doesn’t mean u can start projecting the illusion that the millions of people that went and watched it are idiots. This in legal terms is not called criticism miss, its called a suggestion or a plea.

Kudos to your professionalism in understanding the underlying concept.

  44. 44 Boddhisatva Jul 14th, 2007 at 6:33 am

Dinesh writes “Go and speak about your critic in the hall if you dare too. You will be killed to death.” This is true. Such a thing happened in my home town during the screening of Arunachalam. Two guys were just talking among themselves and saying the film was not good. Some fanatic Rajni fans caught hold of them and threw them from the first floor. One person died due to the injuries. This is just disgusting. Why do people behave like this? Why can’t everyone have a right to his opinion. I felt that this film was horrible. Only garbage people will watch such trash. Truly intellectual people will only watch if the film is good. For instance I like ‘Muthu’, ‘Annamalai’, ‘Basha’ etc. very much. I watched Chandramukhi three times. But Shivaji is simply garbage. It has zero script. Script is the foundation of a film. This film is like a hundred storied building without any foundation. The end result is a massive crash. That is what will happen to normal discerning audiences. Ofcourse fanantics will blindly watch the gloss and show and glamour. Any person with genuine sense of intelligence will never watch such an empty film. Besr to watch Apocalypto by Mel Gibson. It is a billion times better than Shivaji. Actually it is a trillion times better than Shivaji.

Here’s the thing though, Shankar believes he’s more of a message-driven Cheran look-alike director than a gimmicky technical one. So when you see a Shankar, you expect to be bowled over like Cheran’s “Autograph” and “Thavamai Thavamairandu” did.

We end up sitting on our asses for nearly a year for this “hype” and we end up “disappointed” because of the script and working with an actor that’s respected by the insipid minds that is fans. So the reviwerer and any critic deserves to be disappointed with the end result, not to shoehorn on the film and praise it to the skies and be biased. That’s why films like this end up getting century runs and whatnot. Same fate as Vijay’s cuppai movie, Pakkiri, which didn’t beat the awesomeness that was Mahesh-babu’s version.

Bottom line: Sivaji fails to impress me. The media today has hyped up the film as if the world is going to end tomorrow right from launch day. Shankar-sir, please leave the directing to your assitants. They can give better films than you could. As for the lead-pair, ek dum bakwaas.
Rajni-sr: Either you a) Retire b) Get a better “suitable” role c) Stop acting alltogether. Shirya-chechi a) Learn acting b) Stop accepting useless roles and c) Go Bollywood, you’ll thrive much better there.
If anything get a better screenplay. Recycling hits such as GENTLEMAN, INDIAN and MUDHALVAN does not make a film a hit. Technically the film is decent but the life-savers are Suman as Adhisheshan and Vivek’s jokes. Anyone who claims this is Vivek’s big role, well you idiots must have been sleeping through Shankar’s Boys.

Verdict: A Waste of Time and Money. Go watch Kireedom.

    Horrible film. Rajini’s worst.

Even tons of make-up could not hide his age. Wonder how the film got a U certificate when shriya wears next-to-nothing in the songs.

Tamilians must be ashamed that this is their biggest hit. But as long as there are morons who say “rajini looks sooo young at 57, superstar” etc., we will only get such craps.

  52. 52 Hi Aug 29th, 2007 at 10:36 am

Oh god…I am worried that there are people to watch a rubbish movie like ‘Sivaji’. I hope I am not hurting anyone but, I just want to leave a true comment and that’s what I am doing. Although, I am Rajini’s fan, I hate Sivaji.
First of all, I think it’s time to close up the movies for Rajini…because, he is already old…yet to dance is the worst thing.
Enna rajini fan sollittu, ippadi pessurale nu paarkuringala…I am just saying my truth opinion.
Eppadio, hit aiduchu…ennatha pani tholaikkarthu…it’s like that.
This movie is like created for songs…enna koduma ithu, evalavu kaasa selavu pannirkan shankar…just for songs.
Antha songsla appadi ennathaan iruku nu theriyala.
    Athukku avalavu kaasam, uh.
Rajiniaaa solli kuthamilla, shankara sollanum. if shankar put the interest in the movie rather than songs..it would have been better.
Thayavuseithu, rajini inimel shankar oda padathula nadikka kudathu.
HE COULD HAVE ACT IN MUTHALVAN INSTEAD OF SIVAJI.
Muthalvan mattum act pannaru…then, it would be ‘COOL’.

    Anyway…yaarum thappa nanachika vendam,
    By, Me.

I don’t have time to write all of them because I am not useless fellow like the whole ‘Sivaji Team’…I have work.
    Bye…

  54. 54 Well... Aug 29th, 2007 at 11:07 am

I am glad that most people are saying their absolute truth opinion…I didn’t like sivaji, too.
