Welcome Movie Review

Sandeep at the Bollywood Club is happy with the performances

It is refreshing to see Nana Patekar move out of his comfort zone and try a completely commercial comedy film. Not only does Patekar deliver an excellent performance, but also shows off his never seen before comic timing. Anil Kapoor is amazing. This role seems to have been written while keeping Anil in mind. Not only does he look good but his onscreen chemistry with Patekar is note-worthy.

But musicNmovies is not happy

The movie is complete waste of time and money. It tries very hard to make you laugh on its nonsense one liners and NOT hilarious situations. But only thing you get is BIG YAWN [….] The biggest culprit is the story writer and the director, which BTW is the same person – Anees Bazmee.

A Good Entertainment Movie : Welcome

In recent past times, so many directors and producers are successfully experimenting with the stories and scripts, let it be suspense, action thriller, serious, love-story or comedy movie. Welcome is of the same line. Running successfully in India and overseas its business is growing with every show. People likes the movie and it is on its way to be a big hit.

With the leading stars of Hindi Film Industry like Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Feroz Khan and today’s hot sensation Katrina Kaif story has been built. Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar who are Under World Don want her sister Katrina to be married with a “Shareef” boy and try to find such a boy but their all efforts goes in vain as everyone is scared of their’ Bhai-giri’. Here is Paresh Rawal who is in search of a simple girl from a well cultured family for his nephew Akshay Kumar. And there is a romance between Katrina and Akshay. With lot of drama and comedy Katrina and Akshay not only get married but also turned all the “Bhai Log” in to civilized persons.

Film’s story and script is good and able to hold a knot between the movie and viewers. Paresh Rawal is as usual as ever. I don’t find anything new in his comedy after Herapheri. Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor are too good and film runs whenever they are on the screen. Katrina looks beautiful and her hindi is very much improved. Feroz Khan has fit himself into the character very well. His dialog “Abhi hum zinda hain..!!” amuses everyone. Song are average. In total the movie is a good time pass and a good source of refreshment. A fulltoosh comedy and entertaining movie. 100% paisa vasool !!!!!!

Welcome-is such a waste in recent times. The film is watchable just because it has big stars.Bollywood directors always try to copy hollywood in technology(remeber ‘qayamat’a worst copy of ‘the rock’) why not a bit of sense of humour. They should try humour by creating situations not just characters and stars.Do you remember the classic ‘golmaal’ or ‘there is something about mary’.
