Corporate India - Then and Now

Trakin writes about the changing face of business in India. I’m just wondering why would some IT firms in India still insist on formal dress code even when the programmers do not have to deal in person with their clients.

Nowadays, the offices are built on themes. One of my friend’s IT company has theme for each of their 5 floor building- Sports, Nature, Kindergarten, Restaurant and Library. Each and every furniture built based on the themes. Like in case of Kindergarten theme, the tables and chair will have bright colors. The pillars will be slapped with pictures of animals etc. Was this imaginable just few years back?
