‘Their’ children

Amruta Patil writes about an incident that she witnessed in the middle of a traffic snarl. She saw how a policeman was treating a group of street children selling magazines - policeman kicked one child in the head, went on to punch another in the stomach, throw him to the pavement and kick him.

She also writes about the other abuses that these children have to face in our world:

many children (a large number of them are boys) would rather stay on the platform than get some archaic ‘vocational’ training in some institution. they are better paid, by far, for sexual services rendered in toilets of the rajdhani train. the child who shared this information was nine years old.

    Hi Jo
I could not open Amruta Patil’s website to read this post.
For what you are sharing here briefly, I find it shocking!
