What’s Kiran Bedi doing these days? Gopika Paul finds out that Bedi has not given up on the job of trying to make India safe:
Linked by kuffir. Join Blogbharti facebook group. One of the first things Bedi did after quitting was to launch saferindia. It’s no surprise. As a long-time member of the city’s police, Bedi is only too aware of the shortcomings and corruption that plague of the police departments in India. This is especially true in Delhi, where getting the police to issue a FIR – First Information Report – can often be a trying and wasted effort. Saferindia.com says Bedi, is intended to be a bridge between the police and the complainant, where one can only send in a grievance when it has not been heard by the former.

Kiran Bedi is a most respectful figure in Indian Police Department, today. I never have heard even a single person saying anything bad about this India’s first IPS officer. Unlike K.P.S. Gill, who has under trial for his fake encounters of Punjabi youth in Punjab’s black days and also rewarded punishment from Supreme Court for a molestation case filed by IAS officer Rupan Bajaj Deol and has deteriorated the image of Indian Police, Kiran Bedi has maintained the credibility of Indian Law and Constitution. Now, when police has been perceived in a degraded way, her work is a landmark for the entire police department and the whole country. After retirement she has come up in a more aggressive way to help people particularly women section. I think she values time. This Magsaysay Award winner lady started her NGO “Indian Vision Foundation” in 1994. I wish if women get inspired from her and India experience so many Kiran Bedis in its coming times.
