Yoginder Sikand examines the efforts of the Jamaat-e-Islami of India to spread madrasa reforms:

Join Blogbharti facebook group. To counter widespread misconceptions about madrasas, Ahmad suggests that madrasas interact with people of other faiths who live in their vicinity and even to invite them inside. ‘Much misunderstanding about Islam and Muslims owes simply to lack of interaction between the communities’, he says. He cites a personal example. He was once traveling in a train, and a co-passenger, a Hindu woman, asked him, ‘Why do Muslims take the name of the Emperor Akbar in the azan, when they recite Allahu Akbar?’. He explained to her that this was not the case, telling her the actual meaning of the word which she had confused for the Mughal potentate. And that, he says, ‘made the woman happy’.

Salaam:In my opinion, while we talk about ”madrasa reforms” we, in the first place, mustn’t stick to Urdu or Arabic languages. Each and every student of all madrasas MUST LEARN English language.
I, after 4 years continuous strenuous work, have written a book, named,”Learn and Learn to Teach English Language” in the simplest way one can imagine, for those who know Urdu language very well.
This book contains complete basic knowledge of operating computer as well as a dictionarty at the end.
This book is the need of the day.Once they learn the language, they themselves, will know what is the frequirement of the day.
It is necessary that madrasa students learn English language and see what is going on around in the world and by learning the language enable to correct the misconception about the madrasas and reform themselves .
Please cintact me and know more about.
Sincerely…Abdullah
