I am Jayashree J.N, married to an IAS officer M.N.Vijayakumar of Karnataka Cadre who has served in Karnataka for the last 25 years. He is a Principal Secretary Grade officer.My husband is continuously fighting corrupt practices in the system. As there is harassment to my husband for exposing the corrupt practices of the senior officers, and as the harassment is silently watched (or more probably supported) by the head of the bureaucracy, I also decided to take up his causes.
Vijaya Kumar had been transferred six times in six months (between September 2006 to February 2007) because of his ‘innovative’ style of functioning and his crusade against corruption ‘at higher levels’. A very, very interesting site.

This is a good initiative for a good cause. I was exposed to corruption and bureaucrecy. It is so dangerous that it makes us loos faith in the system and forces publi to theft, robbery and other anti-social activities. Common man has got struck the loop-holes of Democracy and it is like being in a loop. Unless one gets a feeling of faith or fear of god / law, it is difficult to clean the system.
We will have to embarrass the people involved in corruptioin and bureacrecy at a highest level.
We will have to make up our mind the we will never bribe anyone.
We need to make people aware of the rights of common public.
If possible we need to beat those in public. I understand that this needs a sacrification of oneself, but there is no other way.
I have seen this guy in TV, it seems he has been troubled a lot govt officials for trying to expose the corruption.
Let all of us sopport him morally, personnelly and if possible financially.
Let us all support Mr. Vijayakumar

Madam,
I have spoken to you over phone. I have been fighting a battle against commercial tax department for the last one year against corruption. In mangalore there are two major transporters viz., LMT and Manish. They clandestinely transport arecanut and cashew kernel from Mangalore to upcountry states without any documents. The total evasion as per CAMPCO estimates (CAMPCO is a state level co-operative society) is Rs.5000 crores per year in arecanut alone.
The modus operandi of the transporter is to book the commercial tax department, APMC, Railway authorities at RO RO point. (Ro Ro is the short form for roll on wherein the entire lorry is transported on a rail) and also police authorities. Even media who tried to interfere where booked. I was fighting this battle but I am helpless against these huge mountain. I was threatened several times that I will be murdered or physically handicapped if I tried to expose the corruption.
However there are certain officers in the Department who really want to fight this evil. Their names Subramniyam, JCCT, Kalayya, CTO, parameshwaraih DC, Fernandes CTO. These officers have tried to fight this evil but they are not supported by the boss. I have suggested to the CCT, Bangalore various methods to fight this evil but he has failed to do anything.
Sri.Harish Gowda IAS is a strict officer but he too has become lameduck due to the negetive approach of lower officials.
I request you to speak to the CCT, Bangalore to whom I have sent a mail today suggesting certain concrete measures to fight this corrruption. Kindly help me to fight this corrruption.
