As an ABNA semifinalist, I had to buy the book. An old Tamil saying, “Feed the neighbour’s child and your children would flourish by themselves” comes to mind everytime I buy a debut novel. I think of how readers elsewhere would pick up my first novel when it reaches the bookstores.
