Because you refer to me by my full name and my UNDP association, it is impossible for me (or anyone else) not to correctly identify me.
While you are certainly entitled to your views, I am entitled to my rights as a private citizen, especially when it comes to libel and defamation. As a blogger, I’m sure you’re familiar with these laws (”defamation”: any published material that damages the reputation of an individual or an organisation. This covers material on the internet as well as radio and television broadcasts. “Libel”: Libel law protects individuals or organisations from unwarranted, mistaken or untruthful attacks on their reputation. A person is libelled if a publication: exposes them to hatred, ridicule or contempt; causes them to be shunned or avoided; discredits them in their trade, business or profession; generally lowers them in the eyes of right thinking members of society. Please also note that your blog refers not only to myself but also the UNDP and the RBI-UNDP-Planning Commission. I’m more than happy to contact the UNDP and RBI staff to get this sorted out.
