Though this is sad, the woman who offered to provide "Womens Era" and other such magazines is more tuned to the ground realities than you are. It is a fact that most women read such books more than they read Outlook and India Today. I can't support this claim with any figures but I live in a hostel and most girls there read Femina or Women's Era. I read Outlook and on rare occasions the girls read it, only if no other mag is available, and even then only to look at the advertisemnts on the latest mp3 players and stuff like that. However this is no excuse for anyone to stereotype all women into this category.
