We are getting what is deserving of a people who are selfish and non-participative. We only wake up when matters turn bad very close to us. Rest of the time, we are happy to criticise things in the four corners of our living rooms. Awake and arise, people of India, we simply cannot let these things happen. We need to organise to counter street terrorism. People power must be unleashed. It is high time. We must fight a second freedom struggle to free ourselves of hooliganism, mafia and corruption. We must participate in politics in large numbers and not merely contend with voting. That is the only way to change. That is the only way to progress and build a vibrant India. Do not vote for the BJP, since they have been the ones behind communial violence and attacks on women. the procedure to vote is easy- 1. find out which constituency you belong to(near your locality-can find it in newspapers), 2. provide address proof and age proof (bank statements passport), get a voting application form, 3. submit the application form, the age and address proof to the constituency, they will call you in 15 days and you place your vote. do it fast- it CLOSES ON 31ST MARCH every one MUST VOTE, without which, all these efforts are futile, the goverment will crush the campaigns.

Attacks on women cannot be accepted,period. There cannot and need not be any justification. In order to help women at the time of occurance of the attack itself, it would be a good idea to enlist members and come up with a way to identify such members in public who could then come to the rescue. Maybe women carry a particular type of whistle which they can blow at the time of the attack. The tone would immediately be recognised by other members or supporters of this cause who could rush to the rescue. This is an effort that has to be commended.
