Amit Asaravala is about to become a father, and they are clearing they house to make the baby’s bedroom. However, seemingly helpful volunteers who help offloading their books turn out to be something else.
I lifted another bag out of the car and carried it back, but this time, as both the man in fleece and the black-haired woman descended upon me, I tried to strike up a conversation. “So, are you volunteers here?” I asked.
“No,” said the man in fleece. And then he took the bag from my hands.
“Oh, okay,” I said and turned away. Wait, what?
And so begins their story of sacrifices for a child!
