A beautiful stranger

Phoenix has been writing a short story by that name: “A beautiful stranger”. Here is the third part of the series:

Pushing open the sliding doors to the veranda, Noyona stood staring at the horizon with her coffee in the hand. She put her palms closer to the sides of the mug with the heat emitting from it, she silently gazed at the sun rising and slowly the busy city awakening to a new day. Soon she would have to get ready for a busy day at work and with the chores she needed to get done. She cherished these few minutes alone in her busy day, for once she didn’t complain of the solitude, it gave her time off to be just herself.

“Do you always get up this early?”

She turned around to face a very sleepy Neel, his hair tousled, still snuggling to his pillow barely awake. She made her way indoors and closes the sliding doors.

“Always! Do you want some coffee?”

“Yeah go ahead pour me some. I’ll just wash up and join you”
