Manpreet’s little daughter Rasan tries to understand the partition of India and Pakistan:
“I hate England.”
“Why?”
“Because they divided India.”
“Well, they didn’t. Partly it was our own fault. We allowed them, so they could.”
“But they ruled over us. Why did they have to rule over us?”
“You like to mind your class, right? You like to be the monitor too, right? How would you like if you were told that everybody around you would agree with you and you will have immense power over your friends? Every body likes to be obeyed.”
Sometimes these little questions from little children throw us into deep introspection, don’t they?

Reg ” Why did they fight Ma?’
Because they had much to devide in between –
India was once called a ‘Golden Sparrow’,
they had to get the Gold out of it- means its natural sources.
they had to get the Kursi to rule.
they could not understand each others countrymens’ feelings.
and could not assess the after-effects of partition
and so on….
